Basic Function

Provide professional Bar/Concession service that ensures the enjoyment, well-being, and safety of patrons during Flynn Center and/or FlynnSpace events. Maintain and operate a clean and well-organized bar/concessions, serve patrons in a friendly and professional manner, handle credit card sales accurately, and complete nightly settlement reports.


Bar / Concessions Responsibilities

  • Arrive 2 hours before the scheduled curtain time.
  • Prep Bar/Concessions as per Open-up checklist.
  • Serve patrons, during pre-show and at intermission(s), in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Check identification to ensure patrons are the legal age to purchase beer and wine.
  • Handle credit and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate.
  • Maintain a clean and organized Bar/Concessions, restock items as needed, and note items running low on inventory sheet.
  • Complete bank cash out and settlement sales report.
  • Clean and restore Bar/Concessions after end of show and complete Close-up checklist.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.



Bar / Concessions Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Availability and flexibility to work nights and weekends based on performance schedule. 
  • Be able and willing to work all shows, all genres, including music concerts.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc. for extended periods, and lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Positive, engaging personality, and professional appearance.
  • Possess excellent customer service skills to help ensure our patrons have a positive experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic math and computer skills.



Supervision Received

From the Flynn Manager; work collaboratively with other Flynn staff, as required.


Qualifications

  • Ability to use good judgment and make timely decisions in situations that may require quick thought and action.
  • Demonstrate and maintain a high level of responsibility and accountability.  
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and effectively manage a large gathering of people.
  • Two year’s relevant experience preferred
  • Prior bar/concessions service experience a plus
