About

Dan Ryan is a Vermont-born, Burlington-based musician and instructor. Dan grew up in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, where he began studying drums at the age of nine with Eileen Rosetti in elementary and middle school. He went to high school at Lyndon Institute, where, under the tutelage of John Padden, he discovered his path to become a professional musician. Throughout high school, and his years at the University of Vermont, Dan received private instruction from Jeff Salisbury. Dan graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Music degree, which only further cemented his desire to spend a life in music.

Dan has played with some of Vermont's most popular artists, including Madaila, Kat Wright & the Indomitable Soul Band, Craig Mitchell and Motor City, and Strength in Numbers. He has shared the stage with countless renowned stars, such as Dave Holland, Branford Marsalis, The Wailers, The Doobie Brothers, and more. Joining him on stage for this performance are Bryan McNamara (tenor sax), Joe Davidian (Fender Rhodes), and Diallo House (acoustic bass).
