About

Let's build New Cardboardia! The active imagination gets a full workout with this immersive cardboard utopia that we will construct. We might have a city on the edge of an enchanted wood, or a castle on wheels. We might take to the seas or colonize the moon. Campers will craft their own environments, practice democratic values, and systems of exchange. Art, writing, storytelling, and playacting to improve social and emotional wellness. Inspired by the book Roxaboxen by Alice McLerran.

More about this enrichment camp:

  • We will learn about the Kamishibai - Japanese street theater and folk stories from Japan
  • We will learn cardboard construction techniques to make costumes, games and environments
  • We will explore collaborative story-building, writing, and public speaking
