FlynnZone: Celebrate the Season

Wintertime Music & Movement with Miss Emma

About Miss Emma

Join Vermont's own Miss Emma for a morning of song and dance! Let's celebrate the winter season with music and movement together at The Flynn! You can expect classic kids tunes, inspired originals, sing alongs, and dance songs geared toward kiddos 5 and under.

Emma Cook is a songwriter, vocalist, and music educator creating from Burlington, Vermont. A lifelong musician, in 2018 she began leading classes of music and movement for kiddos under five and their caregivers with Mister Chris at Music for Sprouts in Shelburne, VT. Music For Sprouts original music and programming is rooted in exploring movement, improvisation, and the seasons in a safe space for kiddos to explore their creativity and connect with one another. While the classroom has closed, Emma brings the beloved Music for Sprouts tunes wherever she goes! Currently she leads classes at GROW Prenatal & Family Center on Pine St. and brings her joyful original music and classic kids tunes to libraries, performance spaces, festivals, and preschools throughout Vermont.

About Flynnzone

Each month, the Flynn invites a different local artist or group to the theater to play a variety of fun and interactive shows in a safe and welcoming environment. Shows are held on the second Saturday of each month at 10 am, and each show lasts an hour. FlynnZone attendance is free of charge for kids and their caregivers. This new program is also meant to celebrate community and the amazing local performers who create wondrous art for youngsters. By creating a space at the Flynn for kids to have their first up-close experience with the arts, we can open up new worlds and possibilities, sparking kids’ imaginations in meaningful and lasting ways.
