At your service

When attending a performance, guests can direct questions or concerns to Flynn volunteer ushers (dressed in white and black). If needed, ushers can contact the house manager, who is responsible for the overall front-of-house operation.

To ensure you get to your seat on time, please arrive early for your performance. Security will check vaccination/negative test results and ID at the door.

COVID-19 safety

In response to the pandemic, we have taken steps to make facilities improvements as well as institute best practices. We have created clear standards and procedures for sanitizing public spaces. The Flynn follows CDC recommendations for air-circulation, turnover rates, and air filtration. The Flynn is requiring all staff, crew, and volunteers to be fully vaccinated. 

These policies are being instituted so that we can reopen the theater at full capacity and ensure the safety of everyone in the Flynn family, including our guests and artists. The Flynn is happy to be welcoming the community back to the theater, and will continue to do everything possible to make it a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

Prior to Your Visit

Share Information with your party. If you are the ticket purchaser, you will have accepted the Terms of Service regarding rules for mask-wearing, vaccination, and health. Please be sure to share the policies with everyone in your party so that they are aware of what to expect and what they need to bring with them. 

If you are sick, stay home 

If you or someone in your group doesn’t feel well, has exhibited symptoms of COVID-19 in the previous 14 days, or has been in contact with someone with COVID-19 in the previous 14 days, please stay home. Vaccination & Mask Policies

To ensure our guests’ health and security, as well as the safety of all performers and staff, the Flynn has implemented the following policies, effective October 23, 2021.


Masks are required at all times for all guests ages two and up, regardless of vaccination status, in all spaces at the Flynn. Guests who refuse to keep their masks on over their nose and mouth will be asked to leave the venue without a refund. Guests will not be allowed to enter the venue without a mask or if they are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19. 


Proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test for all patrons age five or older is required to attend all performances and events at the Flynn. To be considered fully vaccinated, all patrons ages 12 and order must have received an FDA or WHO-authorized vaccine plus a booster shot. Audience members may display proof of vaccination on a smartphone or by showing a physical copy of the vaccination card or official vaccination record, along with a photo ID, such as a driver’s license or passport. Guests younger than 18 may present a school photo ID.

What tests are accepted?

Unvaccinated guests must show a negative COVID-19 PCR or LAMP test. The test must list your name, results, and a time stamp within 48 hours before the performance time. We do not accept at-home or rapid test results.

What qualifies as a negative result?

Your results must show negative or no evidence of COVID-19 infection. The results must be time stamped within 48 hours before your performance time.

How do I show proof of negative PCR or LAMP test?

Please come with a digital or print copy of your negative results and be prepared to show a staff member prior to entry.


We are committed to following national and local guidelines for safety while providing the best guest experience for your visit, and we prioritize the health and well-being of our guests, artists, volunteers, staff, and the community. These policies are subject to change as national and local guidelines are updated in response to COVID-19. Guests assume their own risk by entering the venue. If you are purchasing tickets for someone else, it is the responsibility of the ticket purchaser to communicate these rules to the other party. Fun is encouraged. If the music moves you, you’re free to show it! If you accidentally dance your way in front of a fire exit or are blocking an aisle, an usher may ask you to please dance in a slightly different location.


Late arrivals

Late arrivals will not be seated until a suitable break in the performance, and at the discretion of the house manager and/or artist.

Re-entering the building

We do not allow re-entry into the building at this time. This policy is meant to help with our current COVID-19 screening process at the door.



Any child one year old or older attending a performance must have a ticket and a separate seat. Infants (12 months and under) are welcome to Flynn-presented family events and performances specifically geared to children and will be admitted free of charge. If any infant or young child is disrupting a performance, the Flynn reserves the right to ask a parent to sit with the child in the rear of the theater, or, if need be, to leave the hall.

Children 12 and over need to have proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test within 72 hours of the performance and need to wear a mask at all times. Children 11 and under are not currently required to show proof of vaccination or negative COVID test and need to wear a mask at all times.

Blocking aisles

Fire safety codes prohibit the blocking of aisles. Ushers can store your personal belongings safely and securely during performances.



All food and beverage purchased from the Flynn concessions is allowed in the theater. No outside food or beverage is allowed.



Restrooms are located on the lower level in the rear of the theater—take the down staircase on either side. Three street-level, wheelchair accessible restrooms are available in the lobby, two of which are are family restrooms with changing tables.



Cameras and tape recorders may not be used during any performance. Artist contracts require violators to be removed from the theater and be liable for damages or injury.

Cell Phones / Tablets / Watches

Audible paging devices, cell phones, and watches must be turned to silent during performances.


Main Stage: Programs are now available via a QR code located on the back of every other seat. Use your phone to access the program for the performance.



Please avoid the use of perfumes and fragrances when coming to the theater, as many people have allergies to scents. If the perfume of another patron disturbs you, please notify an usher or the house manager and we will attempt to relocate you to another seat.



The Flynn is a smoke-free building. If the performance has an intermission, a stanchioned area will be set up outside the front doors of the theater. Guests may go outside to smoke within this stanchioned area and then go back into the theater. If a guest leaves the stanchioned area, they will not be allowed back into the theater.


The safety and well-being of our patrons, artists, and staff are of the utmost importance. To ensure a safe venue for all, the possession of firearms, fireworks, explosives, incendiary devices, knives, or weapons of any kind is prohibited at the Flynn’s property and facilities, except those carried by law enforcement officers who are on duty. All Flynn visitors and their belongings, such as bags or purses, are subject to search and enforcement, and anyone found in violation will be asked to secure the weapon inside their vehicle or at home or leave the property immediately. No ticket returns, refunds, or exchanges will be made for people found in violation of the Flynn’s weapons ban.

Weather, Cancellations, & Delays

The Flynn is contractually obligated to pay artists and crew for our performances and therefore rarely cancels a performance due to weather.

Please visit the Flynn website for updates. We immediately post notice of cancellations or postponements on the show's ticketing page. There will also be a “Breaking News” ticker on the top of the home page. If a show goes on as scheduled, we are unable to refund tickets.

In the event of inclement weather, please do not endanger yourself; make sure to give yourself plenty of time to travel and park safely.

Privacy Policy

The information we collect and how we use it

We are required to collect certain information on our website when you order tickets or make a contribution, but we also request additional information so that we can tailor the online experience. You may also customize your email and mail preferences to identify if and how you would like us to communicate with you.


Information shared with third parties

The Flynn does not sell or rent names, postal addresses, phone numbers, or email addresses. Organizations that sell tickets through the Flynn Box Office do receive this information on their ticket buyers upon request. The Flynn is not responsible for any actions or offers sent by these organizations, but our partner not-for-profits adhere to similar policies. We will not forward any information to them if patron permission has been denied. The Flynn never shares donor lists.


Security of your information

When you purchase tickets or make a contribution to the Flynn, we collect your credit card number, expiration date, and CVV code. Your credit card number and expiration date are encrypted in our database (using SSL technology for online transactions), and we never store the CVV code. Your credit card data is masked in our system (e.g. XXXXXXXXXXXX1234) and is viewable only by the people who have a need to know the full number, such as our finance department, in reference to a specific transaction only. Box office agents and other personnel cannot access this data.

Information is stored under physical, electronic, or procedural controls under standards established by the credit card industry. We participate in a security program which requires us to meet specific security measures to protect your credit card information. The software that we use is compliant with these regulations. These security measures are put in place to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of your account information.


Correcting or updating personal information

If your personal information changes, such as your address, phone number, or email address, we will gladly correct, update, or remove any data you have previously provided to us. You can change your personal information at any time by updating your account on our website or sending an email to box@flynnvt.org.


Communications and promotions

The Flynn uses the information you provide (including your ticket buying history) to promote our own activities, including sending emails and brochures about upcoming events. At any time, you can tell us what publications you want to receive by updating your account on our web site or unsubscribing from an email. The Flynn complies with anti-spam regulations and we only want to send you information that you want.


We use cookies to improve your online experience. Cookies are small pieces of information that a website transfers to your computer for record-keeping purposes. Cookies in and of themselves do not personally identify users; they are sent back only to the website that deposited them when a visitor returns to that site. Cookies can tell us how and when pages in a website are visited and by how many people. The information collected is in an aggregate, non-identifiable form. We use the information we collect through this technology to improve our site.
