ONLINE: Teen Shakespeare Intensive
FEBRUARY VACATION CAMP
Ages 13-18
Monday-Friday, February 22-26 | 10 am-12 pm; Final Performance 2/26 at 4 pm
Join actor, director, and teaching artist Marisa Valent for a one-week, online Shakespeare intensive created for teens! We will work together as a group for two hours a day on understanding Shakespeare’s worlds, learning how to interpret and perform text, and how acting for Shakespeare differs from other acting techniques. Students will also be given a 30-minute, one-on-one, private lesson to choose and perfect a Shakespeare monologue for auditions and performance. The camp will center on one of Shakespeare's most famous plays: Hamlet, and at the end of the week, students will put on an abridged digital performance of the play! Finally, students will leave the camp with a Certificate of Excellence in Shakespeare from the Flynn Center. For those students who attended the Shakespeare intensive last summer, this camp is a great way to add on to a strong foundation of knowledge and get another experience performing Shakespeare!
An online performance for friends & family will take place on Friday, 2/26 at 4pm.
Students in online classes are asked to follow the Flynn's Online Class Code of Conduct:

Respect of chosen names and pronouns must be exhibited by participants.
Participants must follow rules and guidelines shared by the Teaching Artist.
Nothing shared within Flynn Online programs is to be shared on any other platforms without the permission of the user. (For instance, do not share someone else’s videos/comments without their permission).
