Green Mountain Swing

Green Mountain Swing is an all-volunteer, 17-piece big band. GMS plays music from the swing era, when swing was king, as in the immortal bands of Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Woody Herman, and others. GMS also includes music from the bop and post-bop periods that followed, and throws into the mix many modern tunes, as well as music from the Latin field. All the band's net proceeds go to the Green Mountain Swing Scholarship Fund, which provides music scholarship to middle and high school students, helping them with expenses for private music lessons, workshops, and music camps.
