AfroFUN Dance Camp

• This camp will be embrace the ease and the heat of summer energy, as we venture to different sites around the City of Burlington within walking distance from the Flynn.  These varied outdoor sites will serve as stages and platforms to express oneself through dance. Students will explore a fusion—from traditional to modern— of African dance styles. The camp will explore outdoor areas around the Flynn because it aims to:

• - Demonstrate the freedom that dance can be done anywhere, at anytime— that a dance platform is a state of embodiment not of a physical, enclosed space with mirrors. 
• - Build a Confidence and Comfort to dance in nature environments (and/or public spaces) 
• - Connect the relation of Dance and Nature

• Join instructor Bonisiwe Luthuli in this exciting camp - she can’t wait to share and enjoy your Journey of discovering the JOY and WONDER of dance outside!

Camp will conclude with a final performance for family and friends on Friday, 7/16 at 2:30pm in City Hall Park

*Please note* A supervised lunch will be provided from 11:30 am-12 pm for any campers who plan to attend both Broadway Dance Bootcamp in the morning and AfroFUN Dance Camp in the afternoon.
