ONLINE- Highlights from High School Musical

• Do you love musical theater? This is the camp for you! Join teaching artists Jen Greenwood & Taryn Noelle for a fun combination of acting, dancing, and singing that will sharpen your skills. This camp will have a combination of group and solo pieces, and we'll put it all together with a combination of a "virtual recital" and post-camp video project(s) featuring highlights from the musical High School Musical . For the acting and movement portions of this camp, students will delve into some different acting techniques, along with speech, voice, and diction work. Additionally, students will work on some group choreography and working on partnered and small group scenes as well as individual monologues. The singing portion of the camp will include individual and small group vocal coaching, with a focus on developing healthy singing techniques appropriate to students’ developing voices and skill levels.

Please note: While we welcome any last minute registrations - we do encourage you to register at least one week in advance to allow for time for us to ship your Virtual Camp Kit! Camp Kits include: Swag, healthy snacks, materials, and craft supplies. Please reach out in advance to notify us of any dietary restrictions.

 If your student is interested in a virtual camp but does not have access to a computer or internet, please reach out to registrar@flynnvt.org - we have a limited supply of ipads and hotspots available to borrow.

Camp Dates & Time:

• Camp meets the week of 8/2-8/6
• Ages 8-12 meet from 10-11:15 am
• Ages 13-18 meet from 10-11:30 am
• Final performance (talent show style recital): Friday, 8/6 at 4pm
• A final video featuring work from this camp will be released 1-2 weeks after camps conclusion
• Special Note: We would like to ask campers to please familiarize yourself with this song - "We're All in This Together" - prior to the start of camp.

Students in online classes are asked to follow the Flynn's Online Class Code of Conduct:

• No hate speech, discrimination, or bullying (including cyberbullying) is allowed in Flynn Online programming, video chats, or communications of any kind. Cyberbullying includes sending, posting, or sharing negative, harmful, false, or mean content about someone else. It can include sharing personal or private information about someone else causing embarrassment or humiliation. Some cyberbullying crosses the line into unlawful or criminal behavior. Bullying of any kind, including cyberbullying, may result in expulsion from class/camp. 

• Respect of chosen names and pronouns must be exhibited by participants. 

• Participants must follow rules and guidelines shared by the Teaching Artist. 

• Nothing shared within Flynn Online programs is to be shared on any other platforms without the permission of the user. (For instance, do not share someone else’s videos/comments without their permission).
