About

Presented as part of Jazz Lab, join us in the gallery at noon as saxophonist Ruben Fox plays a reflective meditation in response to Eric Aho’s expansive nature paintings on view in Headwater. This is immediately followed by an Ancestral Communal Listening gathering, where Festival Curator Michael Mwenso and guests guide audiences through different musical styles of Black roots music to discover and celebrate significant, formative artists in these spaces.

The BCA Center 2022 exhibition year is presented by Mascoma Bank. Headwater is sponsored in part by The Maslow Family Foundation and Gravel & Shea PC. Hospitality sponsor, Lake Champlain Chocolates. Burlington City Arts is supported in part by NEFA through the New England Arts Resilience Fund, part of the United States Regional Arts Resilience Fund, an initiative of the U.S. Regional Arts Organizations and The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, with major funding from the federal CARES Act and the American Rescue Plan Act from The National Endowment for the Arts, and by The Vermont Arts Council & The National Endowment for the Arts.
