In his growing success, New York multi-instrumentalist and producer Ben Carr, better known as CARRTOONS, continues to be defined by his musical roots in soul and jazz. His retro-inspired sound runs deep, the electric bass operating in the foreground of his intricate, rhythmic portraits. Since beginning work as CARRTOONS in 2017, Carr’s steady output of viral videos and the palpable buzz around each new release has spiked demand for his sounds. The unique basslines and compositions that color his music have led him to a recent performance on NPR’s Tiny Desk as well as commercial placements with Supreme, Nike, MAX, and Peacock. Carr has collaborated with pivotal names across genres, from Usher to Mac Ayres, George Clinton, Robert Glasper, Nate Smith, Kiefer, and beyond. CARRTOONS’ success culminated in the release of 2022’s Homegrown, amassed millions of streams on Spotify and leading to sold out shows in New York, Los Angeles, and London. Ahead of a 2024 tour, CARRTOONS just released its seventh album, Saturday Night, another singular showcase that expands Carr's talents into new dimensions.
