This two-week camp begins at Generator Maker Space for building sets, props, puppets, costumes, and special effects. We deploy Generator's rapid prototyping tool set for our creations, including laser cutters, 3D printers, and microprocessors. In the second week, we jettison our cargo to the Flynn to set our battle plans into motion. Participants collaboratively design an improvisational, episodic space opera complete with sound effects, black light puppetry, and overly dramatic tableau in the outer rim of Flynn Space. We create an interstellar journey across the galaxy, into interplanetary conflicts, audience interaction, photon battles, and high-stakes diplomacy. Set your phasers to cardboard and load up the escape pod! We're returning to Planet Cardboard!
