Senior Soloist Naomi Shpaner takes the lead with Rachmaninoff’s sweeping Piano Concerto No. 2, setting the course for a concert full of discovery. The orchestra charts its own journey, featuring a world premiere work from VYO member, Holden Friesel. Additionally, the orchestra sails for England with Ethel Smyth’s The Wreckers Overture, dances through Vienna with Brahms’ Academic Festival Overture, and lands in Hungary with Rózsa’s Theme, Variations and Finale.
